One Small Step Forward Foundation Inc. continues to support Canyon Woods Residential Resort’s annual outreach program. This past November, OSSFFI donated children’s toys and school supplies. For November 2013, OSSFFI donated 5 dozen rubber slippers, 4 dozen crayons, 18 Smurf ballpens, 3 boxes of erasers, and 150 pieces of different storybooks – Magic School Bus, Animorphs, Star Wars, Goosebumps, etc. And for 2012, the foundation donated P13,000 pesos worth of storybooks from Scholastic, Harper, Lampara and Anvil (the Lampara and Anvil storybooks were dual language books, i.e., written in both English and Filipino).

Canyon Woods in Laurel, Batangas, is one of the first real estate development ventures of G2Global, chaired by George Go, and includes Canyon Cove in Nasugbu, Canyon de Boracay Premiere, Maya Maya Beach Club, plus several high-rises in the Metro Manila area. Part of Canyon Woods’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) thrust includes the annual outreach activity for public elementary schools in the Laurel, Batangas municipality. The del Rosario’s have a small house in Canyon Woods and, like Canyon Woods management, they feel a strong stake in the welfare of the Laurel Batangas community.
